Chip

This is a picture of me and my Dad. You can probably tell that this was taken in the 1980’s which means that he was in his late twenties and I was new to the world. At this point we didn’t know each other very well and didn’t really know what to expect. Twenty six years later we have a bit more experience and a whole new set of questions…

This is a show about fathers and daughters that stems from the real life experience of Jess Thorpe and Tim Thorpe.

Jess and Tim Thorpe’s Chip is a fabulously life-affirming and beautifully-structured show featuring Jess and her Dad, about what we inherit, what we reject, the nature of parenthood, and perhaps the nature of goodness, transmitted from generation to generation **** The Scotsman

Jess Thorpe and her colleague Tashi Gore have spent the past five years devising work that is rooted in people’s life histories and memories and this expertise – like the loving, teasing, unshakeable bond between Jess and Tim – shines through in every phase of Chip. **** The Herald

Join us at the Forest Fringe on Monday 9th or Tuesday 10th August at 5.15pm at the Forest Cafe in Edinburgh

3 Bristo Place
Edinburgh EH1 1EY

For Directions or more information visit: www.forestfringe.co.uk

Hope to see you there – thanks for all your support
