I really like being part of The JukeBox. It makes me feel really comfortable, confident and proud of what I make. I’m really chuffed with the DJ set I made and would encourage everyone who is interested in joining The JukeBox to just go for it. I also really love working towards qualifications. It makes me feel good to be part of the team. The JukeBox team member

I think The JukeBox is an awesome radio show, it gets me through the day and it helps with my mental health since tuning into different segments and hearing different songs makes me feel good. I really like all the songs, quizzes, talks, did you know facts and the meditations. The JukeBox listener

Notes on the Process

I have learned so much on The JukeBox, not just about radio and making content but also really about myself and others. I had a really difficult time in school because teachers there didn’t have any patience, they just wanted me to do things straight away, under time pressure, and there was a right and a wrong way of doing things. This made me really anxious and overwhelmed and then I couldn’t do things and I used to run out of time and fail all the time. On The JukeBox they actually want to help you and support you in doing what you want to do, what I want to do – and I am slowly learning how that is changing my whole understanding of learning and of who I am because I used to think that I couldn’t do things because I got overwhelmed all the time. I sometimes still do, and even on The JukeBox, but then there are always other tasks or ideas to think about and everyone is really nice and supportive and it makes me feel really good and that I am actually contributing and I can then support other people too and make them feel calm and supported.
